Eddie Whitmire will seek the office of Searcy County Sheriff on the Republican ticket.  Whitmire has several years of experience in law enforcement, dating back to 2003.  He has worked with Searcy County to bring a K-9 unit to the area, been instrumental in obtaining community grants, and has assisted the 20th Judicial Task Force on multiple occasions.
