Branson’s Titanic Museum Attraction is hosting the United States Ice Carving Association’s National Championship this weekend.
Thirty participants are competing in the two-day event Saturday and Sunday at the Titanic parking lot at Highway 76 and Gretna Road, vying for more than 25-thousand dollars in prize money and a chance to represent the United States at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia.
Titanic Spokeswoman Jaynee Vandenburg tells KHOZ.com that there are several reasons why this event is so important for Branson.

Vandenberg said they would hold the weekend competition underneath large tents that will take up the entire Titanic parking lot. The event is free and open to the public. Guests should park at White Water and use a free shuttle to the ice carving championship.
The Titanic Museum will be open this weekend with tickets available at the box office.
