Two people from Branson were airlifted to a Springfield hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Shannon County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 34-year old Stephen Laquet and his passenger, 28-year old Olivia McMullen were northbound on Missouri Route 19, two miles south of Eminence just after 5 p.m. Friday when their SUV ran off the road on a curve and struck a tree.

According to the report, neither wore a seat belt.
