Leaf Cleanup Begins Next Week in Harrison

The annual leaf pickup for Harrison begins next week as crews use the city’s vacuum truck to dispose of leaves that are curbside.

The cleanup will be begin next Monday, November 26.

The city will pick up leaves that are raked curbside to keep them from getting into the city’s sewer and drainage system and to keep them from causing damage during the winter weather.

City crews will work in each of the four wards of Harrison.

Below are the dates the city will be by your specific ward:

  • Monday, Nov. 26 - Friday, Nov. 30 — Ward 2 — South of Prospect/Highway 392 and west of Maple Street plus Skyline Drive
  • Monday, Dec. 3 - Friday, Dec. 7 — Ward 3 — South of Prospect and east of Maple Street plus a four-block wide section of an area called “Old Town” from Stephenson to Sherman Avenue
  • Monday, Dec. 10 - Friday, Dec. 14 — Ward 1 —  North of Prospect Avenue/Highway 392 and west of Maple Street/Highway 65, minus Skyline Drive and Old Town.
  • Monday, Dec. 17 - Friday, Dec. 21 — Ward 4 — North of Prospect and east of Maple/Highway 65.
