A man charged in Christian County with shooting and wounding his mother-in-law has been found competent, according to online court records, and the case will proceed.
Forty-six year old Robert Berry of Ava had been charged in January of 2011 with assault, armed criminal action and burglary after Donnelle Woodruff was wounded in the jaw and hand by shots fired from outside her home in Ozark. Woodruff reached a neighbor for help and recovered from her wounds after surgery.
Last May, Berry was ordered to undergo treatment at a mental health facility. Online court records indicate he is able to participate in his case, with no new date set.
