The Arkansas State Police (ASP) and Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) are increasing patrols this holiday season beginning today and going through the Thanksgiving weekend that ends this Sunday the 25th.
According to a release from the ASP, they are joining the nationwide “Click It or Ticket, Day and Night” program that looks for motorists not wearing seat belts. They say they have added additional troops on the state’s roads to help decrease accidents.
The MSHP says they are reducing the number of traffic crashes through Operation Combined Accident Reduction Effort or C.A.R.E. as well as the “Click It 4 Life” campaign. Operation C.A.R.E. aims to concentrate on traffic enforcement over major holiday weekends to reduce accidents whereas “Click It 4 Life” concentrates on making sure all occupants in vehicles are using seatbelts and restraints.
