A man from Shell Knob escaped with only minor injuries when a tractor-trailer drove into his path inMaconCounty.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 73-year old Larry Ausmus was northbound on U-S 63 at Highway 156 in Macon Countywhen an eastbound truck driven by 70-year old Phillip Bangert of Atlanta, Missouri tried to cross 63 and drove into his path.

Ausmus was taken to a hospital in Kirksville for treatment of his injuries.

The crash occurred around 4 p.m. Friday.
