A 12-year old Kansas City girl was taken to a Springfield hospital for treatment of moderate injuries when a four-wheeler overturned and landed on top of her.

State troopers say the wreck occurred on private property on Highway 413 north of Galena on Saturday afternoon.

On Thanksgiving Day, a 13-year old boy died in Barry County when the ATV he was driving rolled down a hill and landed on top of him.  The Highway Patrol reports that accident also occurred on private property and is now being considered a “non-traffic” fatal accident.
