A firefighter with the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District is due back in court next month following an appearance Tuesday.

Twenty-six year old Matthew Anderson is charged in Stone County with first degree statutory sodomy.  According to a probable cause statement, Anderson allegedly touched a 6-year old girl inappropriately earlier this month.

Anderson remains in the Stone County Jail on bond of 100-thousand dollars.
