A decade old murder in North Carolina has ties to the Ozarks.
A Bald Knob, Arkansas, man is in jail after authorities responded to a domestic violence call last week. After responding to the scene, authorities arrested Jose Tostado and found that he had an outstanding arrest warrant for a 2000 fatal shooting in Tabor City, North Carolina. On September 16, 2000, Alfonso Fuentes was fatally wounded at a nightclub shooting. Police identified Tostado and another suspect in the murder and they issued warrants for the pair’s arrest. However, both fled and police were unable to locate them.
Tostado is in the White County jail awaiting extradition.
