Five people are facing felony charges in Stone County after deputies responded to a home in Lampe and interrupted a burglary in process. The homeowner was away and a neighbor called 911 to report suspicious activity.
Taken into custody and charged with class C felony burglary were 52-year-old Michael Slous, 43-year-old Christina Compton, 34-year-old Joseph Garrison, 29-year-old Dustin Locke, and 43-year-old William Ritter.
Ritter also faces charges of tampering with a vehicle, possession of burglary tools, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
All are in a Galena, Missouri, jail on $75,000 bond.
Stone County Sheriff Richard Hill says the suspects were in the process of burglarizing the residence that includes outbuildings and vehicles located on the property.
