Matt Sims of Oxygen Services of America recently donated an Invacare Reliant Patient Lift to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. Along with the lift, extra slings and batteries were also donated, a value of approximately $6,000. NARMC will be utilizing this lift in the Critical Care Unit.
The lift was donated to help reduce the possibility of caregiver back injury and to ensure dignity in patient handling. It also makes potentially challenging transfers smooth for the patient and the caregiver. This high-quality lift is comfortable, reliable and an integral tool for staff and patients. Using the lift for patient handling can help reduce staff injuries, make the patient feel more stable, and reinforce safety which is a top priority at NARMC.
