According to a report from the Arkansas State Police, a Good Samaritan, who was trying to direct traffic after an accident south of Harrison, was struck by a vehicle and seriously injured.
Yesterday evening on State Highway 7, a two-vehicle accident left a large amount of debris in the roadway. James L Mundy of Harrison stopped to see if anyone was hurt and then began to direct traffic. However, Mundy was wearing dark clothing. A driver headed south on the highway did not see Mundy and struck him around 6 pm.
Mundy went to Mercy Hospital in Springfield via air ambulance. His status is unknown at this time.
