Branson Fire Department Participates in Operation Red Wreath

Christmas wreaths sit in front of Branson fire stations 1 and 3 as a reminder of holiday fire safety. “Operation Red Wreath” is a national awareness program to bring attention to the hazards around the home during the month of December.

Everyone is encouraged to be mindful of hazards like an overloaded extension cord, live Christmas Trees, candles, and unattended cooking.

The wreaths are decorated with red bulbs to represent each day of December. If fire crews battle a holiday-related fire, they will replace the red bulb with a white bulb. The goal is to keep the wreaths lit in red.

This is the first year Branson participates in the program.
