Bradleyville, Taneyville Students Receive Shoes – Sally Kaucher
Bradleyville High School Principal Bob Comer says Bradleyville and Taneyville students have received new shoes in the past, but this is the first time for a combined distribution.
The shoes come from Dryer’s Boots and Shoes in Springfield. State Representative Lyle Rowland presented a resolution from the General Assembly to owner Dale Dryer, who has now provided more than two-thousand pairs of shoes to students in kindergarten through high school.
Along with the shoes, the foundation handed out grants totaling more than $195,000 to 26 schools and charitable organizations. Donations from the Roy W. Slusher Foundation now total more than $5.1 million.
