U.S. Park personnel have had to step up patrols in the Lost Valley Trail area as they have seen a dramatic increase in graffiti.

According to Caven Clark, the Public Information Officer for the Buffalo National River, graffiti at Cobb Cave and Eden Falls Cave have grown substantially and park resource managers have had to focus more intently on the problem.  He said the acts violate federal laws and that they may have to charge those responsible if caught.  Violations of this type range in magnitude from misdemeanors up to felonies.

Volunteers with the Ozark Society, Buffalo National River Partners, the Arkansas Master Naturalists, and Jasper High School students have teamed up to address clean-up later in December possibly January of next year.
