Effort to Save Great Passion Play

A public meeting takes place tonight in Eureka Springs in an effort to keep the Great Passion Play in operation.

The 40-year old attraction has fallen on hard times and production ended after foreclosure on the property began last month.  The Gospel Station Network of Ada, Oklahoma, is stepping in to help raise at least $75,000 by December 31st to pay property taxes and interest on the mortgage.  The network says if they do not successfully raise the money, they will return all donations.

Tonight’s public meeting is at 7 pm in the Smith Chapel on the grounds of the Passion Play in Eureka Springs.
