A Mountain Home man has been arrested in Marion County on felony drug charges. Flippin Police Chief Dusty Smith and Marion County Sheriff Roger Vickers say 31 year old Joseph Cruz has been charged with conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of a communication device. Cruz, who is being held in the Marion County Jail, is on parole supervision and may face additional charges for parole violation.
The arrest of Cruz stems from a joint investigation by the Flippin Police and Marion County Sheriff. When authorities discovered Cruz was coming to a Flippin business to sell meth, they began surveillance. When Cruz was observed arriving to make the transaction officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle he was traveling in and arrested him. During the course of the arrest, officers located an amount of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $4,000.
