 Arkansas and Missouri Farmers Eligible for Federal Assistance By: Wayne Powell Farmers across most of Arkansas and Missouri are now eligible for federal aid. Recently, the U.S. Department of Agriculture issued a natural disaster declaration due to the extended drought the states suffered last year. All of the counties in the Ozarks are eligible for the assistance. Politicians from both states told constituents that they could now receive emergency loans and other assistance from the USDA’s Farm Service Agency that would help them get back on their feet.
