A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 6 o’clock this evening until 6 o’clock Sunday morning. National Weather Service Meteorologist Mike Griffin says a cold front is making its way across the Ozarks, with rain and falling temperatures through the day turning to freezing rain and sleet this evening, and worsening tonight.
Griffin says you’ll also run into winter weather if you’re traveling west or north toward Joplin, central Missouri or the Kansas City area, with light snow on the roads. From Northern Arkansas toward Little Rock and northeast Arkansas, expect heavy rain and the potential for flash flooding.
