Officials in most of Arkansas are advising caution as you travel this morning.
That surprise snowstorm that blew through Tuesday afternoon left snowy and icy road conditions in its wake.
The Arkansas Transportation Department’s road conditions map indicates snow to ice to icy patches on the roadways just about everywhere south of Harrison and east of U.S. 65. A link to that map is available here.
Those same conditions have forced the closure of several schools:
- Deer/Mt. Judea Schools
- Yellville-Summit Schools
- Ozark Mountain School District, which includes St. Joe, Western Grove, and Bruno-Pyatt
- Flippin Schools
- Searcy County School District, which is both Marshall and Leslie.
Make sure to keep your radio tuned to KHOZ 900 AM or 102.9 the Z for the latest school closings.
