 Tony Friend Granted Change of Venue  By: Harold Smith One of the five people charged in the deaths of Rusty and Rebecca Porter has been granted a change of venue. Taney County Circuit Judge Mark Orr Thursday granted the request of 44-year-old Tony Friend of Springfield. Friend’s trial would take place in Taney County, but the jurors would be brought in from outside the area. Friend faces first-degree murder, armed criminal action, and felonious restraint charges in connection with the shooting deaths of the Porters, whose remains were found near Protem in July of 2011.
