Dec. Jobless Numbers Steady in MO, Up in AR
December statewide jobless numbers are in.
The Missouri Department of Economic Development reports the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 6.7 percent of the workforce. That remains unchanged from November.
The Arkansas Department of Workforce Services reports a slight increase in its jobless rate statewide, standing at 7.1 percent in December, a tenth of a percent higher than in November.
The latest county numbers available are from November. They showed Taney County’s jobless rate at 7.1 percent, with Stone County at 8.4 percent. Boone County’s unemployment rate for November was six percent, whereas Carroll County stood at 4.3 percent.
