A mother and daughter escape injury, during a Sunday morning blaze in Blue Eye. Southern Stone County Fire crews responded to 26 Moss Road and found a mobile home fully engulfed in flames.

Public Information Officer, Eric Nielson, says crews fought to keep the fire from spreading to nearby homes:

The alarm came shortly after 5 a.m. and fire personnel were on the scene for two hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but Nielsen says, it may have originated in the electrical panel box.

A Southern Stone County Fire Department Explorer lived in the home. The American Red Cross has been requested to assist the family.

The fire department has made arrangements for the public to make donations.  If you would like to help, call Lieutenant Michelle Griggs at 417-230-0382.  Donations can also be made at the Southern Stone County Fire District offices at 10965 East State Highway 76, Branson West, MO 65707.
