A Mansfield, Missouri man has been charged in connection with the death of a Kirbyville woman in a traffic crash late last month.

On December 30^th, 27 year old Ashlea Harper was killed when the pick-up she was driving was struck by a van driven by 36 year old Christopher Fields. The crash occurred on Highway 60 near Norwood in Wright County. Fields is alleged to have ditched his van a short distance from the crash and ran away. He was arrested a short time later.

Prosecutors have charged Fields with involuntary manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident.
