Free Meals and Hospitality Kits Available for the Homeless Saturday

The Hope Continuum is looking for anyone that is homeless to give a helping hand. 

If you know anyone that is homeless, this Saturday is a good time to visit with the Hope Continuum in four locations in the surrounding counties. 

Melanie Savells with the Hope Continuum says they need all the homeless people in the area to visit.

The Hope Continuum is the umbrella organization for sanctuaries and shelters in the following counties: Boone, Newton, Marion and Baxter.  The Hope Continuum is dedicated to rapid re-housing of the dislocated and disenfranchised.  he House of Hope in Harrison is the most recent organization added to the group. Other groups associated with the continuum are Sanctuary, Gamma House and Serenity House. Current board officers of the group are Melanie Savells, Dee Senn and Jo McEntire.  Anyone interested in this worthy organization who can dedicate some talent and time are welcome to join. We have a few board openings at the moment and would love have you visit our next meeting. It will be at he House of Hope at 1:00 pm on February 18th


The locations are as follows:  The House of Hope, on the bypass in Harrison, next to Edwards Grocery, from 8-4;  the Lord of the Lake Lutheran Church on Hwy 7 N in Diamond City for lunch from 11-1.  The Flippin City Hall will be doing lunch from 10-2 on Saturday also. The DHS office in Harrison will also be participating in this project on Friday during normal office hours.
