The silver 2010 Chevy Silverado 4-door pickup stolen from the American Red Cross one week ago has been recovered. 

According to Chief Communications Officer for the Red Cross, the vehicle was involved in an off-road pursuit with Springfield Police. She said it received a lot of damage and may be totaled. Employees are now required to secure the doors and keep a spare in hand, if they plan to start their vehicles to warm them up in the mornings. 

The truck was reported stolen after a Red Cross employee started it to melt away ice from the windshield and returned to his home, leaving the vehicle unattended.
