Branson will be visited by Shriners throughout the Midwest this summer as the city has been selected to host the Central States Shrine Parade. Aldermen have passed a resolution approving a special event permit and street closures downtown.

The parade, slated for August 24th, is expected to draw 5-thousand or more attendees. The Branson Chamber of Commerce plans to work with Shrine and city officials for shuttle services and special parking on the day of the event.

The Shriners parade will follow the same route as the annual Adoration Parade, heading north on Commercial Street and south again along the waterfront side of Branson Landing.
