The theft of an estimated $10,000 worth of fishing tackle was reported to the Baxter County Sheriff's Department by a Lakeview area man. Andrew Tyler Dost reported the gear was stolen out of his garage sometime early Tuesday morning.
The victim told sheriff's deputies he'd gone to bed about 1 a.m. and his garage door was closed. When he got up at 5 a.m., he discovered the garage door was open. Authorities said someone had broken into the side door and taken the fishing tackle from Dost's boat. Included among the stolen tackle were 8 to 10 fishing rods and reels and between 10 and 15 tackle boxes with assorted gear.
