Boone County Sheriff Mike Moore is asking anyone who knows the whereabouts of Gary Evans or Angel Artuso-Evans to contact the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a domestic battery on Moark Drive late Wednesday evening regarding 42 year old Angelique Artuso-Evans being forced into a car and driven away from the property. Artuso-Evans was taken against her will by her estranged husband, Gary Evans, age 50.

Sheriff Moore said deputies and investigators have been working around the clock since the report to try to locate the woman, without success. Family members and known acquaintances have been unable to provide investigators with an address or contact information for either Gary Evans or Angelique “Angel” Artuso-Evans. Persons contacted in the investigation have indicated Gary and Angel Evans have been estranged from most of their family and were last believed to be living in the Springfield, Missouri area.

Angelique Artuso-Evans is entered into the National Crime Information Center as a Missing / Endangered Person. She was last seen being forced into her vehicle, a 1999 green, four door Toyota Camry with Arkansas handicapped license 245846. As of the time of this release the car has been located.

Gary Evans has outstanding warrants for his arrest on unrelated charges. The public is cautioned against confronting Gary Evans should he be located. Sheriff Moore encouraged anyone seeing Evans to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or the Boone County Sheriff’s Office 870-741-8404. Persons providing information or tips may remain anonymous if desired.
