A Harrison woman was injured but no children were hurt when the car she was driving struck the rear of an Alpena school bus on U.S. Highway 62 just west of Harrison this morning. Twenty-five year old Dezarae Reading was taken to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison following the 7:35 a.m. accident.

Corporal Bobby L. Clemence of the Arkansas State Police said Dezarae Reading was eastbound on Highway 62 in a 1986 Oldsmobile. A 2007 Alpena school bus, driven by 71 year old Wayne Stewart of Alpena, was attempting to turn left from Bridge Lane onto 62 and the bus was across the eastbound lanes and was waiting for westbound traffic to clear. Clemence said Reading was blinded by the sun and didn't see the bus and hit it in the left rear. The driver of the bus was not injured.
No charges were filed in connection with the accident.
