Tornado Sirens to Sound Tuesday Afternoon

Today marks the first day of the 39th annual Missouri Statewide Tornado Drill. The Severe Weather Awareness Week is an opportunity for schools, families, and businesses to revisit what they will do if severe weather hits. 

On Tuesday, outdoor warning sirens and weather alert radios will sound at 1:30 p.m., indicating everyone to seek shelter during the statewide tornado drill. 

The Emergency Management Agency says the safest shelter location is the basement or an interior room in the lowest level of a building.
