The City of Forsyth has a new city clerk as Ruth Whitley has retired after 31 years with the city. Cheyenne Beasley was sworn into duty at this week’s board of aldermen meeting.

In other news, Highway 76 between Burmingham Road east to the intersection with Highway 160, has a new reduced speed limit. At the request of the city, MoDOT conducted a traffic impact study along that 2-mile stretch, and has now reduced the speed limit from 55 to 45 miles per hour.
