 Southwest Airlines Arrive in Branson Saturday By: Harold Smith Just as Branson threw a party last August when Southwest Airlines announced it was coming to Branson Airport, so the community prepares to party once again Saturday as Southwest officially begins local service. The airport hosts the ultimate tailgate party Saturday, and airport executive director Jeff Bourk says this is the culmination of six years of hard work. The gates open at 10 a.m. Saturday with festivities beginning at 10:30. Entertainment will be provided by the Platters, the Acrobats of China and New South, among others. KRZK’s Steve and Janet will emcee the event. Admission and parking Saturday are free.

What a perfect day for the tailgate party and the excitement of seeing that beautiful Southwest plane arrive filled with LUV! I was proud to be present for the fun and welcoming the best airline in the U.S. to this area. And the icing on the cake was the presentation to Kyah by the Make A Wish Foundation and Southwest! God bless this precious little angel. |
