Two Mountain Home residents are in the Baxter County Jail for allegedly breaking into a house boat.
According to Sheriff John Montgomery, deputies were called to Buzzard Roost Marina on Lake Norfork about 10 a.m. Wednesday on a report of unauthorized persons inside a house boat.
Deputies discovered the owner of the boat lives out of state. Two subjects were observed on the boat and apparently had been staying there for some time.
Taken into custody were 35 year old Damion Jackson McBride and 49 year old Melissa Jeane Richards. Both are charged with residential burglary, criminal mischief and obstructing governmental operations. McBride is also charged with possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $15,000 each. They are set to appear in court March 28th.
