Stone County Election Results

Less than 9-percent of registered voters in Stone County turned out to polls on a cold and rainy election Tuesday. Contested school board races were decided in Blue Eye, Crane, Hurley and Reeds Spring.

Steve Patton and Earnest Bohner were elected to the Blue Eye School Board, while Mark Lander and Kevin Williams were elected in Crane. A close election in Hurley saw Chad Langley and Marti Bane selected by voters from a field of 5 candidates.

Contested municipal races were decided in Kimberling City, Crane and Hurley.

Kenneth Bowling, who was appointed to the Kimberling City Board of Aldermen, won the election in Ward 2, narrowly defeating Michele Stump. Bowling shared some of his goals for the next two years with Khoz.com…

Kimberling City’s Ward 1 race is still undecided. A total of 111 write-in votes were cast, but the Stone County Clerk’s Office had not announced a winner as of 10:37 p.m. Tuesday. There are two declared write-in candidates for Ward 1 alderman -- Carl Newberry and Lowell Mielke. Khoz.com will provide an update once final results are announced.

J. Collin Brannan was elected mayor of Crane. Other contested races saw Larry Cloud elected mayor in Hurley, and Ryan Conrad and Blaine Martin elected to the Hurley Board of Aldermen. 

Dean Kirkpatrick and Joy Souza tied for Reeds Spring Ward 1 Alderman, while Harry Miller won in a 3-man race in Ward 2.

Kent Brosseau and Kent Doucey were elected to the Stone County E-911 Board Northern District, while David Stump and Thomas Huffman were elected in the southern district.
