The active search for an angler missing for over a week has been discontinued.

According to Marion County Sheriff Roger Vickers, they halted the search for 44-year-old Brendon James of Theodosia Saturday, although sheriff’s deputies and officers with the Game and Fish Commission will continue to make periodic patrols.

James was reported missing on March 25th when he failed to return from a fishing trip on Bull Shoals Lake.  James’ boat was found along the shoreline about a mile from his family’s private dock on the lake south of Dugginsville, Missouri near Peel, Arkansas.
