            Sales Position #3-  Rob McBee was moved to an on-air position.  George Nellesen was hired to fill this position.  George was let go during his trial period and Christopher Case was hired to fill this position.

 

            Sales Position #4-  Tammy Stevens was terminated and this position was not refilled.

 

            Program Director- Patrick Skaggs left the company.  Alan Archer was hired to fill this position with the title of Operations Manager.

 

            Assistant Operations Manager- This position was created and David Burris was internally promoted from a part-time position to fill it.

 

            Announcer #1- Carl Timbrook moved to part-time and Rob McBee was moved internally from a full-time sales position to fill this slot.

 

            In addition to the ones listed above, there were more full time positions which were eliminated this year.

                       

Supplemental Recruitment Initiatives

 

KHOZ Job Fair held February  2009.

Station hosted Job Fair at Brandon Burlsworth Youth Center.  Station representatives manned booth, distributed station information, and accepted employment applications.  Live broadcast conducted from 8 am to 2 pm.

 

Station employees and managers participated in a Career Fair held at North Arkansas College.

 

Employment training for upper level management conducted by sister station’s general manager, held at quarterly manager’s meeting.

 

Mentoring program was established between our Assistant Operations Manager and the Operations Manager so that he could learn skills that could qualify him for a higher position in the future.

 

Mentoring program was established between our Announcer #1 and the Production Manager of our sister station so that he could learn skills that could qualify him for a higher position in the future.
