Aldermen gave first reading approval to ordinances amending the fiscal budget ending March 31st, and adopting the 2010 fiscal budget. Final approval was given to ordinances rezoning the Walgreens property from industrial to commercial, and amending the city's conditional usage code to include nightly rental properties. And a package liquor license was approved for Walgreens.

Blasting operations will continue for up to 3 months as crews work to make way for the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Highway 76 and Business 65 at the new bridge location.
