Bridge Columns Going in; Blasting Increases This Week to 3 Times a Day

Work on the new Lake Taneycomo Bridge has crews busy in the water and on land. This week blasting is being increased to three times a day on the Hollister side of the lake to make way for the construction of a new roundabout. And you may have noticed barges and a lot construction equipment in the water. MoDOT spokesman Angela Eden says foundations for the new bridge columns are being constructed, and this will become more evident over time...

Scheduled times for blasting this week are once in the morning, between 9 and 11 a.m., once in the midafternoon around 2:45 p.m., and once in the evening, around 6:30 p.m.
