KHOZ was on hand and spoke with the coach about Razorbacks Quarterback Ryan Mallet's post season shoulder surgery and foot injury.

Red-shirt sophomore Tyler Wilson has stepped up giving leadership to the team with Mallett down for healing. Freshman Brandon Mitchell and newcomer Jacoby Walker as well as Nick Petrino, will help to full-fill the quarterback position during spring practices slated to start March 30.

Coach Petrino said that "The shoulder is just about healed up and ready to go", "Now it's just a matter of getting the foot back."

Ryan Mallet has suffered several injuries already in his career with the Hogs. In June of 2009 Mallet injured the ring finger of his throwing hand during a weight training accident. He also dislocated a thumb on his padding hand during spring drill in 2008, causing him to sit out a season after his transfer from Michigan.
