The National Weather Service confirmed one tornado touched down in Arkansas in last week's severe storm system that killed seven people as it passed through that state.

The service says the tornado touched down around 2 am Friday inside the city limits of Little Rock.  The NWS rated the tornado at an EF1 on the Fujita scale with winds between 86 and 110 mph.  The tornado travelled about four miles.

The tornado killed two people whereas five others died due to powerful straight-line winds produced by the storm.

The agency is investigating reports of possible tornadoes in Crawford and Franklin counties as well.
