SATURDAY 10th
Continental Breakfast Saturday Morning
Saturday the 10th we will have a continental breakfast at the hotel or on the square at the Town House Cafe (200 yards south) from 0715-0845 hrs. Susan Bower, Manager of the Town House Cafe will be offering those of us eating Saturday morning a breakfast menu on the square before we begin our day of seeing films (next door) at the Lyric Theater. She also will be preparing our 7:30 AM buffet breakfast ($8.00) Sunday morning before heading off to Branson for the day.

“Film Fest” Saturday Morning
At 0845 we will go next door to the Lyric Theater and hear from Vive Allen, Director of the Ozark Arts Council and manager of the Lyric Theater. She will briefly address our group at 0900 about the history of the theater. Next a local historian will give a brief history of how Harrison came to be. Then, you will see two films. The first is The River Flows. It is just under 1 hour. Next is the historical documentary about the Mountain Meadow Massacre. Burying The Past is 86 minutes long. We have asked Mrs. Allen to place a donation box at the entrance of the theater to help out the Ozark Art Council in there many civic efforts, especially concerning this historic theater's operation.

Boone County Heritage Museum Saturday Morning
Plans are to have a trolley at the front door of the theater to transport some of the slow movers three blocks up the street to the Boone County Heritage Museum, which is the old refurbished three story high school building. Roz Slavik, museum Director, will open it for 2-3 hours especially for our group. Cost of the museum visit is $2.00 per person, with donations gladly accepted. (To really study the items in the museum it would take about two days.)

Shopping at Lunch Time Saturday Noon to Early Afternoon
After the museum visit, we all will walk back into the heart of the downtown area and begin a world class shopping spree. Among all of the nice shops, many which will be of interest to the ladies, there are six flea market shops within walking distance of the square, not to mention cafes and coffee shops.

• For those interested in a couple of side trips, some can drive 6 miles down Hwy 7 to the Mystic Caverns. There are two caves next to each other. Tour one for $13 or both for $15. Both are spectacular and it takes about 45 minutes for each cavern tour.

• For those of you that may be interested, Vive Allen can set up a tour of Twelve Oaks Estate, ca. 1922. It is a magnificent National Historic Registered southern mansion, also a short distance down Hwy 7 south. A group tour can be set up early Saturday morning while at the Lyric.

Then, the remaining group will caravan through Old Branson, west on Hwy 76 to the Veterans Memorial Museum. It has two real surprises. One is wall to wall printed lists of all soldiers that have died in war and they have a large wall display of every patch worn by a submariner. You will be very impressed by the way they have displayed items - guns uniforms, combat gear, and miscellaneous equipment. They have displays of items from all of the wars we have waged.
Next we will go back to Branson Landing and park at the east end by Belk's and rendezvous with the shoppers we dropped off earlier.
