Boone County Heritage Museum Celebrates Anniversaries

For 100 years, the building has served Harrison and for 25 years, the museum has called it home.  Melinda Moss, Harrison Superintendent of Schools, symbolically gave over the old Harrison High School Building to the Boone County Historical and Railroad Society today.

The time capsule placed in the cornerstone of the building 100 years ago was opened is being displayed right now during the old-fashioned ice cream social being hosted by the museum until seven this evening.

A special, limited edition commemorative coin has been produced to mark this special occasion and is available at the event, along with a pictorial history book of Boone County and a video with local residents reflecting on their memories of the area.
