O. J. Cheek, Yellville

O. J. Cheek age 88, resident of rural Yellville entered into rest on Friday, December 21, 2012 in Flippin, Arkansas. O.J. was born in Snow, Arkansas on June 27, 1924 to the late

DeRoose and Hester (Dodd) Cheek. He was a farmer and track drill operator in construction. He was united in marriage to Marie (Rogers) Cheek who preceded him in death.on September 8, 2004.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his  

Sons; Charley (Patty) Cheek of Theodosia, Missouri

           Bobby (Ruby) Cheek of Gassville, Arkansas

            Tommy (Jackie) Cheek of Fairbanks, Alaska

             Johnny (Darla) Cheek of Yellville, Arkansas

Daughters; Paulette Dayle Dillinger of Mountain Home, Arkansas

                  Mary Ann Lasecki of Yellville, Arkansas

Sister; Oletha King of Yellville, Arkansas

14 Grandchildren

11 Great Grandchildren

a host of nieces & nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Son, Doyle, 2 Grandchildren 1 Brother 2 Sisters.

Funeral services will be under the direction of Burns Funeral Home, Yellville and will be held at the Burns Funeral Home Chapel in Yellville on Monday December 24, 2012 with visitation beginning at 10am and services at 11 am.

Interment will follow at the George’s  Creek Cemetery in Yellville..

Serving as pallbearers ,Jonathan Cheek, Kyle Cheek, Cody Cheek, Darryl Cheek, Alan Lasecki, Donna Cheek and Missy Cheek.

Honorary bearers will be Kathy Schmidt, Charlotte Marler, Ashley Schultz and Tyron Cheek.
