Joy Johnson, age 91, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Monday, December 31, 2012 at Creekside Health and Rehab in Yellville.

Joy was born to the late Lloyd W. and Elizabeth (Hoffman) Davis on February 22, 1921 in Houston, Texas. Before her retirement, she was a technician at Baxter Lab. She lived most of her life in the area, and was a member of Caney Church of Christ.

Joy is survived by her son, David Johnson, and his wife, Dana, of Yellville;

her daughter Julie Dujker and her husband, Hurbert, of Amsterdam, Holland;

her brother Hiram Davis and his wife, Isabelle, of Yellville;

five grandchildren;

eight great-grandchildren;

and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Henry T. Johnson in 1987; two sons: Rusty and Tony; and her sister, Mary Jo Thigpen.

Visitation for will be Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.

A graveside service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, January 3, 2013 at De Soto Cemetery near Yellville.

Honorary pallbearers will be Vincent Johnson, Vaughn Johnson, Preston Humphrey, Jared Humphrey, Patrick Dujker, and Derek Goodall.
