Norman Dean Burr, Omaha

Norman Dean Burr, age 76 of Omaha, Arkansas passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at his home.

The son of Barney and Audie (McWilliams) Burr was born October 13, 1936 in Rogersville, Missouri.

He has lived in this area since 2004, having moved from Ozark, Missouri.

Norman was a member of Burlington Baptist Church. He loved his church and enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Lloyd Burr and Danny Burr; two sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Ella (Thomas) Burr of the home; son, Norman "Skip" Burr and wife Marilyn of Springfield, Missouri; honorary daughter, Jane Gittinger of Clever, Missouri; sisters, Ruby Etheridge, Mary Randall and husband Jack, and Mabel Blades all of Springfield, Missouri, Shirley Bebout and husband Elmer of Strafford, Missouri, and Phyllis Hay of Ozark, Missouri; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Service will be 10 A.M. Friday, January 18, 2013 at Burlington Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Long officiating.

Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery with pallbearers being Keith Thornton, Timothy Hicks, II, Steven Burr, Daniel Burr, Jacob Burr, and Jesse Burr.

Honorary pallbearers are the men of Burlington Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Burlington Cemetery Fund or to Legacy Hospice.
