Mary Lou Carter, age 73 of Yellville, AR died Sunday, January 20, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  A daughter of the late Everett and Mary Ethel (McConnaughay) Sledge, she was born April 15, 1939 in Bluford, Illinois.  She was married to Bruce Carter Jr, March 10, 1956.  Together they moved to Yellville, in 2002 from Rochelle, Illinois.  They were members of the Peel Full Gospel Church.  She loved shopping at garage sales and thrift stores; she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband; Bruce Carter Jr of the home, two daughters; Cindy Lowery of Yellville and Rhonda Bollman of Pueblo, Colorado.  She is also survived by three grandchildren; Travis Swanson and Ashlee and Kaylee Wells.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Graveside service will be 2 P.M. Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Keesee Cemetery with Brother Carroll Johnson officiating.  The arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home, Yellville, AR.
