Jerry K. Rogers, Lead Hill
Jerry K. Rogers, age 72, of Lead Hill, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at his home.
He was born in Lead Hill, Arkansas on June 15, 1940 to the late William Clay and Lucy (Threet) Rogers. He was a lifelong resident of the area, a Baptist by religion, and an avid deer hunter and joke teller.
Jerry is survived by two sons: Gary Kenneth Rogers and his wife, Trudy, of Muskogee, Oklahoma; and Jerry Bruce Rogers, and his wife, Cindy, of Bergman, Arkansas;
two daughters: Terri Jones of Omaha, Arkansas; and Dianne Rogers, of Lead Hill, Arkansas;
a sister, Billie Markle, of Monarch, Arkansas;
eleven grandchildren;
and eight great-grandchildren.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Thomas and Eugene; a sister, Olita Stonecipher; and a son, Johnny.
Visitation for Mr. Rogers will be Friday, January 18, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.
Funeral service will be Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Keesee Church near Yellville, with Darrell Campbell and Marshal Boggs officiating.
Interment will follow at Keesee Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Hartsell, Greg Rogers, Jerry Pinkston, David Ward, Roger Markel, and Aarron Royse.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
