Mr. George E. Goldsmith 
February 23, 1917 - January 23, 2013

George E. Goldsmith, age 95, of Leslie, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born in Ozone, Arkansas on February 23, 1917 to John Elbert Goldsmith and May Anna (Crisp) Goldsmith.

George was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall. His church was very important to him. As a young man, George worked hard to care for his family after the death of his father. He believed that family always came first. He enjoyed visiting with friends and family. George was a kind, gentle soul who was a very good man.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 61 years, Alma (Marlow) Goldsmith; two sons, James and Howard Goldsmith; two sisters; and three brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Ellen Rains and husband Paul of Leslie and Luci Kice and husband David of Blackwell, OK; nine grandchildren, Catrina Ragland and husband Ben, Jeanetta Rains, Pauletta Starkenberg and husband David, James Kice and wife Misti, Rhonda Spruiell and husband Schott, Tammy Slocumb and husband Bill, Howard Goldsmith and wife Wendy, Jimmy Goldsmith and Jamie Bagby and husband Matthew; thirteen great grandchildren; and one sister, Maggie Daniels of Wichita, KS.

Services for George will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. John Myatt officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 till 8:00 PM Friday, January 25, 2013 in the Chapel. Interment will be at 3:00 PM Saturday at Sherman Cemetery near Clarksville.
